Weber Packaging Solutions Gets GMI Certification for Printing Film Labels
Weber Packaging solutions a leading manufacturer and supplier of label & labeling machinery has been awarded certification to print film labels for the product companies that requires a Graphic Measures International [GMI] designation.
“Receiving GMI certification will eventually validates Weber‘s flexographic printing processes and capabilities provide the customers with the wide range of color accuracy and consistency required for printing their critical brand color”. Said John O’Leary, Weber’s Vice-President of manufacturing.
Weber could achieve all the criteria’s set by GMI Certification status for film label printing. This is included by series of print tests in which GMI had visited Weber’s Arlington Heights facility ensuring all the facilities are met.
Mr. O’Leary says “During the certification process our skilled team members could demonstrate the process of executing along with the tools that were used for pre-press, plate making, press production, post-press result in a high quality printed product.”
GMI will still continue to conduct the ongoing performance evaluations to confirm that all standards are fulfilled. With this certification, Weber can print film labels to any product company that requires GMI certification that includes major retailer private brands.
