These tiles are made up of 50-70% limestone, 5-20% asbestos, binders and other pigments. Being porous, they require one or two coats of sealers. The tiles were very sturdy and were known for their durability and heat resistance.

Mexico Tiles: These are composed of unprocessed clay and are hand-made in Mexico. The tiles are quite rustic and are highly alkaline in nature. Every such tile has its own unique design and color combination. Due to the highly porous nature of the tiles, they require sealing.
