Ochre Vibe

Saturday Fun Activity

The Management of Ochre Media hosted a set of fun activities for its employees on Saturday, 13th of Feb 2016.

It all started off at 10AM with employees from all the departments gathered in the conference room and an announcement from the HR listing out the activities to be performed by the rest.

Activity 1:

The game which kick started the program was “The Straw Building” and the participation from the employees was enthusiastic.

The floor was buzzing with excitement when Jonathan started fixing the straw and everyone cheered on.

The activity is quite thrilling at the same time required concentration, time management as well as precision.

After winning the activity, Jonathan Taylor from our Sales department had something to say,

It’s a part of our management, which allows an employee to gain team building skills amongst each other, improves the productivity by teamwork, helps to hone the time management and the Analyzing skills.

Indeed, concurring with Jonathan, Ochre Media Management encourages every employee to be a part of every milestone achieved and by improving their individual personalities; each one of them can be successful in their respective field.

Once we were done with our Activity 1, our Activity 2 kicked off with a gush of enthusiasm.

Activity 2:

The age old game of “Chinese Whispers” livened up the atmosphere in a manner anew. The employees, seated in a horse-shoe arrangement, started the chain of hushed messages from one end and completed the exercise on the other.

The words whispered were phrased into a tongue-twister—“Four Flies Flew forward”. But the emerging message was hilariously different. When the last employee said the words— “Point of Arrest” aloud, laughter ensued and this brought people from different divisions of the company together.

One of the participants, Amy Milton said,

It was good; helps in reducing the gap between team members from different departments and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

By the time the activity wrapped up, the day had come to a close as well. Everyone, including the spectators, felt relaxed and distressed.

Taking various inputs from the employees of Ochre Media, Our HR, Ms. Sravya, came up with this unique idea to host a list of activities which allows better employee engagement and coordination between the departments.

She further stated that,

With these kinds of initiatives we can free people from monotony of their job and help them to interact between their colleagues.
