The interesting part of this new Ferrari 488 GTB, it does fairly well than its equitable compare Ferrari 599 GTO that of few years ago which had a similar power of 661 BHP & low end torque at 457lb-ft from a massive 6 liter workhorse, with a V12 turbo free which ranks amongst the most fascinating Ferrari seen lately, Performance rated at 0-62 mph sprint takes just 3 seconds identical to that 458 Speciale but the most impressive part is 0-124 mph in just 8.3 seconds and now that makes it second fastest amongst the entire Ferrari lineup. The top speed touted to be at 205mph/hr and above.

Ferrari  counts the lap times as a performance benchmark in its Fiorano test track in Italy, a 1 minute 23 second run makes the 488 GTB half a second quicker than the Speciale, which in turn makes 2 seconds  quicker than the standard 458 and the mighty Enzo.

The throttle response and progressive power delivery as well as naturally aspirated engines, for which Ferrari’s are renowned in mastering Variable Torque Management that built into the paddle shift gearbox to deliver the torque across the rev range, Just like on the California T. Peak power arrives at 8000rpm, dizzyingly high for a forced-induction engine and a suggestion the rev limit shouldn’t be too far shy of the 458’s screaming 9000rpm.

There are more than bald figures to be vowed by, of course. There’s Ferrari’s usual gamut of Driver Flattering Technology, honing using its XX program.

The most fascinating feature in this second generation version of 488GT is Side Slip Angle Control, which works with the suspensions active dampers for a greater precision.  As per the Ferrari Sources, “The 488 GTB provides track level performance that can be enjoyed to the full even by the non-professional drivers”.

Aerodynamics plays a pivotal role in 488’s as underbody is flat for greater airflow with all manner of active flaps and spoilers. Aerodynamics dominated the car styling by just looking at frugal rear diffuser, tangled front splitter and those eye catching air intakes just behind the doors.
